We're building another house. But not just any house. This will be our forever home. The one that we will grow old in. The one where we will watch our children thrive. So it's important. It's important that we take the time to figure out what we want. Because Lord knows, I don't want to have to redo something four years down the road. Lot's of planning will take place. But that's ok. I like planning. I like making lists and crossing items off. And I will be asking lots of questions. What you like, what you don't like, suggestions for this and that.
We have the land. Ten glorious acres that was generously given to Brent and I by my grandparents. We have some work to do to it, but nothing that can't be handled. So now we spend time trying to figure out positioning of the house, lake, basement, barn, all kinds of things that we want. But first we need to decided on a layout. And that ladies and gentlemen is what I have been doing every night for the past month. My side of the bed floor is loaded with books. Different layouts: one story or two, walk out basement or no, how many bedrooms (which brings up the issue of children). So many things to consider. But, we'll get there. And I can't wait!
